Super Chill Launches in the UK to Support Children’s Mental Wellbeing
19 January, 2026 – Super Chill, a children’s wellbeing platform, has officially launched in the UK, offering children and young people a positive way to manage their emotions and take time for themselves. The platform, already successful in the Netherlands and other European markets, has been embraced by over 200,000 families and schools and is now available for use in the UK.
Aimed at children between the ages of six and 12, Super Chill helps them understand their emotions, calm their bodies, and build resilience through short, playful activities rooted in mindfulness, movement, and relaxation. In a time where discussions about children and their screen time are prevalent, Super Chill offers a different perspective. It focuses not on the amount of time spent on screens, but on the purpose of that time.
Super Chill is a non-profit initiative with a goal of building a mentally resilient generation. The app promotes the use of technology for good, encouraging children to pause, reset, and check in with their emotions. Its primary focus is to show children the importance of prioritizing their mental wellbeing from a young age.
Key features of the app include an emotion check-in, where children can choose how they are feeling and receive personalized activities, as well as short, playful sessions that promote calm. The app also encourages parent and caregiver involvement, allowing them to share the experience and support their child’s wellbeing in a holistic, calm manner, and even do the exercises together. Super Chill is completely free to download and use, with no ads and secure data.
The UK launch of Super Chill comes at a crucial time, as many children received their own devices over the Christmas holiday. The app aims to be one of the first that families feel confident introducing, providing a calm and safe space that supports emotional wellbeing instead of adding to the noise and pressure.
Super Chill’s Managing Director, Geert Pelsma, stated, “Children and young people today are growing up in a very busy, overloaded world. Many are not taught how to understand or manage their feelings. We created Super Chill to give children simple tools they can use anytime, to calm down, reset, or simply take a moment for themselves. We have seen how positively children and families across Europe have responded. We are really excited to bring that support to children across the UK.”
Through Super Chill, children can choose how they are feeling and be guided through short, age-appropriate exercises that help them slow down, breathe, move, or refocus. The activities are designed to easily fit into everyday life, whether it’s after school, before bed, or during a moment of overwhelm.
Available for free on the Apple and Google stores, Super Chill is designed for children aged six and above, with content that can be explored independently or with the guidance of parents and caregivers. As children face increasing pressures in their everyday lives, Super Chill offers a simple yet powerful message – it’s okay to take a pause and prioritize your own wellbeing. In a world full of constant noise, moments of calm and mindfulness can make a real difference.
