Cambridge Literary Festival’s Winter Festival Makes a Comeback on November 22-23

Cambridge Literary Festival announces the return of its winter edition, set to take place this November. The festival will feature a diverse lineup of literary heavyweights, stars of stage and screen, academics, journalists, and crime writers, including former First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon.

Some of the highly anticipated highlights of the event include discussions with renowned authors Zadie Smith and Ian McEwan, Mick Herron of Slow Horses fame, Katie Piper, and John Cleese, celebrating 50 years since Fawlty Towers was on television screens. The festival will also feature academic conversations with international barrister Philippe Sands and Colombian writer Juan Gabriel Vásquez, as well as talks with veteran news presenter John Suchet and economist Partha Dasgupta.

Other confirmed writers include beloved poet Wendy Cope, BBC’s Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet, scientist Tim Gregory, and inspirational speaker Katie Piper. The festival will also feature local writer Megan Hunter, who has recently released another exceptional novel, Days of Light.
