GP JOULE Expands to Ireland with Hugh Bannon as Country Manager

Kildare, July 31, 2025 – GP JOULE, a leading integrated energy supplier, is expanding its operations in Ireland by adding EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) to its existing offerings. The company has appointed Hugh Bannon as the Country Manager for Ireland, bringing over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.

GP JOULE has been successful in developing wind and solar park projects in Ireland through its subsidiary, GP JOULE PROJECTS Ireland. With the addition of EPC services, the company will now be able to provide a comprehensive solution for the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of ground-mounted PV systems in Ireland.

Having 15 years of experience in designing, constructing, and managing solar parks in Germany and internationally, including projects in France, Italy, and North America, GP JOULE is well-equipped to handle challenges such as difficult terrain and co-location of solar with wind farms. Hugh Bannon, the new Country Manager for GP JOULE EPC Ireland, is a chartered civil engineer with a strong background in construction and infrastructure projects. He has held senior roles in numerous wind, solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, with over 200 MW now in operation. With his technical expertise and industry knowledge, Hugh will play a crucial role in helping Ireland achieve its 2030 renewable electricity targets and broader climate commitments.
