Described as a “psycho-sexual queer thriller that blends fantasy and reality,” “Nosebleed” delves into the darkest corners of the digital world and the human psyche. It explores the collision of obsession, desire, and technology in a near-future setting.
Starring Adam Wadsworth, known for his roles in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” and “Much Ado About Nothing,” the film follows Victor, a troubled content moderator for social media platforms. Victor becomes seduced by a dark-web subculture promoting sexually violent and ‘perverse’ content, leading to blurred realities as his fantasies become indistinguishable from the world around him.
Drawing inspiration from filmmakers like David Fincher and Emerald Fennell, as well as the radical provocateurs of the French Cinema du Corps and New Extremity movements, “Nosebleed” offers a visceral cinematic experience that explores power, control, intimacy, and taboo through a queer lens.
The film boasts a stellar creative team, including cinematographer Matthew Bates and intimacy coordinator Eleanor Hodson. Executive produced by Jim Head and associate produced by Jim Kierstead, a six-time Emmy and Tony Award-winning producer, “Nosebleed” brings together transatlantic talent to create a powerful and provocative film.
