Revolutionary RFID Reader Management and Mobile Integration: ELATEC Unveils DevPack 5.07

ELATEC Releases Latest Version of TWN4 DevPack for Faster, Stronger and More Flexible RFID Access Solutions

Puchheim, November 18, 2025 – ELATEC, a leading manufacturer of access technologies, has announced the release of its latest software development toolkit, TWN4 DevPack 5.07. This new version offers enhanced performance, improved security, and increased flexibility for configuring and managing RFID readers, allowing for more adaptable and future-proof access solutions.

“Our goal with every DevPack release is to simplify the process for developers, system integrators, and end users,” said Tobias Rasche, Global Head of Product Management at ELATEC GmbH. “Version 5.07 represents a significant step forward by combining advanced diagnostics, expanded mobile credential support, and open-standard interoperability into one comprehensive package. This evolution has transformed our DevPack from a simple development toolkit into a complete framework for building secure, flexible, and future-ready authentication solutions.”

Future-Ready Mobile and Security Capabilities

DevPack 5.07 further expands ELATEC’s support for modern mobile ecosystems, providing developers with more options for delivering seamless, secure, and flexible authentication experiences. The integration of Orange PackID, Transact, and AccessGrid eliminates the need for extra setup steps, making it easier to deploy mobile ID solutions for campuses, workplaces, and customer loyalty programs. The addition of Bluetooth® capabilities allows developers to create fully customized mobile ID experiences and seamlessly integrate ELATEC readers into existing apps and ecosystems.

The release also introduces support for PKOC (Public Key Open Credential), a vendor-neutral standard that aligns perfectly with ELATEC’s agnostic reader philosophy. PKOC offers customers more freedom of choice and greater protection through asymmetric cryptography, making it a more resilient foundation for future-ready access systems.

Other enhancements in DevPack 5.07 include a new API for MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 cards, providing developers with more flexibility for advanced security and feature integration. The new PIN-after-card option enables two-factor authentication (2FA) in physical access (PAC) environments and is designed for use with wall readers featuring keypads, such as the Secustos. These updates simplify mobile credential deployment while setting a higher standard for security and interoperability across various applications.

Smarter Development and Configuration Tools

DevPack 5.07 offers developers and integrators faster insights into reader performance, greater control over configuration, and shorter update cycles. This results in quicker rollouts, easier troubleshooting, and lower maintenance costs, even for complex deployments.

Some of the key advancements in DevPack 5.07 include:

– Enhanced Tracer diagnostics: Deeper transponder analysis and broader technology support, including HID DESFire EV3 and SEOS, enable faster and more accurate troubleshooting and performance validation.
– Compact OSDP configuration updates: The new configuration update reduces the time for updates over OSDP by a factor of 10 or more, minimizes bandwidth requirements, and reduces downtime.
– Wiegand configuration via AppBlaster: Expanded options for Secustos and TWN4 Palon readers simplify the migration from legacy Wiegand systems to secure OSDP systems.

These improvements make DevPack 5.07 a more powerful and efficient toolkit for building and managing RFID systems, from setup to long-term maintenance.

“Our new DevPack gives our partners the freedom to innovate within a secure, open, and future-ready framework,” said Gerhard Burits, CEO of ELATEC GmbH. “It exemplifies our philosophy of simplifying complexity, protecting what matters, and preparing for what’s next.”

The release of TWN4 DevPack 5.07 represents ELATEC’s ongoing investment in flexibility, interoperability, and developer empowerment, making it easier than ever to design and maintain secure, scalable RFID and mobile access solutions across industries.
