HEIDELBERG Reports Robust Sales and Profitability in First Half of Financial Year 2025/2026
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) has reported strong sales and profitability in the first half of financial year 2025/2026, despite a challenging macroeconomic climate. The company’s half-year sales have increased by 8 percent compared to the previous year, reaching € 985 million. The adjusted operating result (EBITDA) has also doubled, reaching € 63 million.
The company’s CEO, Jürgen Otto, has expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, stating that “HEIDELBERG is holding up better than the competition in a very challenging market environment and is once again demonstrating that our strategy is working and bearing fruit.”
The company’s success in the first half of the financial year is attributed to its strong market position worldwide, with particularly positive developments in Europe and Asia. Despite negative exchange rate effects, the company is expecting higher sales in the second half of the financial year.
HEIDELBERG’s success at the Labelexpo industry trade show in September has also contributed to its strong performance, with orders running into the double-digit million-euro range. The company’s label printing business, in particular, has shown strategic importance and growth potential.
In the Print & Packaging Equipment segment, half-year sales have risen to € 463 million, while the Digital Solutions & Lifecycle segment has achieved sales of € 493 million. HEIDELBERG is also seeing potential in its core business as a systems integrator for packaging and digital printing, as well as in software and service business in a digital ecosystem.
Despite the difficult economic climate, HEIDELBERG is confident in achieving its full-year forecast for financial year 2025/2026. The company is expecting sales of around € 2,350 million and an adjusted EBITDA margin of up to 8 percent.
