Explore New Routes, T2 Expansion, and Manchester Airport’s Busiest Summer in the Fourth Series of the Airport’s Podcast

Manchester Airport’s official podcast, Manchester: Your Airport, MAN, will be launching its fourth series today. The podcast offers listeners an exclusive look into the inner workings of the UK’s third largest airport.

Since its initial launch in 2023, the podcast has covered a range of topics including sustainable aviation fuel, airport technology, and the day-to-day operations of an airfield. With over 10,000 listeners, the podcast has been brought back by popular demand.

The first episode of the new series will take listeners behind the scenes of the launch of IndiGo’s direct route between Manchester and Mumbai earlier this summer. Five more episodes will follow in the coming weeks, including a preview of the completed Terminal 2 as part of a 10-year, £1.3bn transformation project.

The podcast is hosted by Hywel Evans, a well-known voice in the radio industry, and the airport’s Communications Director, Adam Jupp. With Hywel’s light-hearted approach and Adam’s expertise, the podcast offers a unique and entertaining perspective on the airport’s operations.

Speaking about the podcast, Hywel said, “Being ‘backstage’ at the airport is truly fascinating. There is so much more to the whole operation than you’d ever imagine.” Adam added, “The great thing about this podcast is that we can take you into parts of the airport that you wouldn’t see as a passenger and bring those stories to life.”

Produced by the award-winning Manchester-based digital media agency, Crowd Network, the podcast can be found on popular platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Podcasts.

Manchester Airport, owned and operated by MAG, is the largest UK airport outside London, serving around 200 destinations and welcoming more than 30 million passengers annually. Its catchment area extends to 22 million people within a two-hour drive time.

Stay tuned for the new series of Manchester: Your Airport, MAN, for an insider’s look at one of the UK’s busiest airports.
