Munich, Germany – The Motel One Group has announced its continued growth with the acquisition of seven prime city-center hotels in Germany and Austria. The group’s expansion in Munich, Frankfurt, Bremen, and Vienna will further cement its position in the DACH region.
These hotels, currently operated under the Flemings brand, will undergo extensive renovations and a complete redesign before reopening in 2026 under the Motel One and The Cloud One Hotels brands. This strategic move will allow the group to expand its portfolio in highly desirable metropolitan areas, catering to a diverse range of guest segments.
Stefan Lenze, Co-CEO of the Motel One Group, stated that acquisitions will play a crucial role in the company’s future growth strategy. By strategically acquiring established properties in central locations, the group can continue to offer its guests premium sites with the high quality they have come to expect.

The hotels will undergo renovations while remaining in operation. As part of the acquisition, the Motel One Group will take over the employees of the Flemings Hotels. The properties will remain under the ownership of their current owners, and the transactions are subject to approval by relevant antitrust authorities.
