Woolf Helmets, a London-based company founded by award-winning inventor Jeff Woolf OBE, has recently launched an equity raise on Republic Europe (formerly Seedrs). This campaign aims to bring their innovative folding smart helmet into full-scale production.
The Woolf Helmet is the first of its kind, featuring hands-free turn technology and patented Energy Reduction Technology® (ERT). The company is now seeking investors to support its expansion into full-scale production and capture the growing market for micromobility.
With intuitive hands-free indicators, motion-sensitive brake lights, and crash detection emergency alerts through their app, the Woolf Helmet offers a new level of safety for cyclists and other micromobility users. The patented ERT technology reduces rotational impact forces and can help prevent traumatic brain injuries.
The company has already secured £375,000 towards its £1 million+ target, demonstrating strong investor confidence and momentum for the campaign. This follows a successful Kickstarter campaign that reached its target in under three hours and closed at 720% funded.
The global helmet market, currently valued at $4.8 billion, is projected to reach $7.47 billion by 2030, driven in part by the rapid growth of micromobility and the expansion of compulsory helmet laws. The Woolf Helmet meets both CPSC (US) and CE EN1078 (most of the world outside the US) safety standards and is supported by a robust IP portfolio.
The helmet is lightweight, quick to open and close, and folds flat in less than a second for easy portability, addressing one of the main barriers to helmet use. It will retail for £219 and is available for pre-order at www.woolfhelmets.com. The company plans to launch globally in Q1 2026, with early-bird pricing available to crowdfunding investors.
