TEAM Concept Printing Names Benjamin Franklin as Official Spokesperson in Bold New Marketing Move

Last Updated on:

In a decision both historic and unconventional, TEAM Concept Printing has announced the appointment of Benjamin Franklin, reimagined for the modern printing era, as the company’s honorary spokesperson for the remainder of 2025.

Franklin, celebrated as “The OP (Original Printer)”, will now represent TEAM in its marketing campaigns, thought leadership content, and guided facility tours.

“Franklin isn’t just a symbol of American ingenuity, he’s the first guy who ever looked at a blank piece of paper and said, ‘I can monetise that,’” said Tony Rouse, CEO and Founder of TEAM Concept Printing. “If he can’t sell our FSC-certified, G7 Master Printer operation with custom packaging and in-house production, no algorithm can. But let me be clear, if Ben underperforms, I’ll pull the plug. Literally. The clock is ticking…”

Based in Carol Stream, Illinois, TEAM Concept Printing is a national leader in high-impact print finishes, renowned for innovations like its exclusive LUXfx technology, which blends sensory enhancements with striking visual effects. By offering every stage of the production process under one roof, from design and finishing to integrated fulfilment, TEAM saw an opportunity to revive Franklin as a brand ambassador for the digital age.

“Let’s be honest, he’s America’s original influencer,” said Jeff Howicz, Chief Commercial Officer at TEAM. “He practically invented the press release. So, it made sense to have him help push our newest offerings in direct mail, custom packaging, and SOC2-compliant data handling. The man discovered electricity. So he can handle a little variable data printing.”

When asked about Franklin’s adjustment to his modern-day role, Howicz added: “He thinks our two massive KOMORIs are witchcraft and he tried to revolt against our modern equipment line, but otherwise he’s fitting in just fine.”
