Hamburg, Germany – Laut gegen Nazis e.V. and advertising agency Jung von Matt have joined forces to launch the latest initiative as part of their award-winning “Rights Against the Right” campaign. This highly anticipated campaign aims to combat the growing threat of right-wing extremism in Germany.
The initiative, which was officially launched on Monday 18 August, 2025, has already made a significant impact. Together, Laut gegen Nazis e.V. and Jung von Matt have successfully trademarked the name of Germany’s largest right-wing extremist online shop, “Druck 18.”
The online shop, operated by neo-Nazi Tommy Frenck, is considered to be the largest supplier of Nazi merchandise in Germany. It offers hundreds of items with racist, anti-Semitic, and historical revisionist content.
“We have already proven with the trademark registration of individual codes that we hit Nazis where it hurts them most: their wallets. With ‘Druck18’, we are going one step further,” says Jörn Menge, founder of Laut gegen Nazis e.V. “To keep the rights to ‘Druck18’ and all our secured codes, we need to sell merch bearing them. That’s what we do now under www.druck18.com.”
The trademarking of the name “Druck18” is part of the Rights Against the Right campaign, which aims to prevent the commercial use of the name by the far-right scene. As a result of this initiative, the operator of the online shop is no longer allowed to continue using the name. Any further use will result in legal consequences, including injunctions and claims for damages.
Philip Schlaffer, a former neo-Nazi who operated a right-wing extremist online shop, has welcomed the move. He knows the scene from the inside and believes that most of the far-right movement is financed through merchandise. He explains, “Druck18 is the flagship. Anyone who interferes with that not only deprives the movement of money, but also of reach and ways of identification. This initiative really hits the mark.”
Laut gegen Nazis e.V. has actively opposed the growth of right-wing extremism since 2004. The organization’s mission is to bring together civil society and generate strong public opposition to the ever-growing threat. Through supporting initiatives and alliances against the right-wing, forming networks, and offering ongoing advice and support at local events, the NGO aims to shape public opinion and strengthen civil society resistance for fundamental democratic values and freedom.
