London – Women V Cancer has announced a second departure for their highly demanded Kilimanjaro to Coast cycling challenge in October 2026. The 10-day adventure, which supports Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action, will now have departures on 1 and 8 October.
The first departure, which was added due to popular demand, sold out within weeks, with over 60% of participants being first-time cyclists. The route covers 380km in five days, showcasing rural Tanzania and includes a beach celebration in Tanga on day 8.
Megan Wackett, Fundraising Manager for Women V Cancer, says the challenges are designed for women of all fitness levels and are meant to empower them to discover their capabilities. “From your first pedal stroke in Moshi to dipping your wheels in the Indian Ocean, you’ll discover you’re capable of more than you imagined.”
The Women V Cancer challenges have raised over £22 million for their partner charities through events such as Ride the Night London and international challenges in Kenya, Vietnam, India, and now Tanzania.
The 10-day challenge includes medical support, expert local guides, and authentic, locally-owned accommodation. Participants also have the option to extend their trip with a beach stay in Zanzibar or a climb up Kilimanjaro.
“We are proud to offer authentic, locally-focused adventures in over 30 destinations each year, working exclusively with local guides and accommodation providers,” says a spokesperson from Dream Challenges, the parent company of Women V Cancer.
