As British investors increasingly turn to international real estate, one of cricket’s brightest global icons has stepped into the spotlight to endorse Dubai’s booming property sector. Afghan spin sensation Rashid Khan, who will represent Oval Invincibles this summer in The Hundred, has been unveiled as the official brand ambassador for MH Developers — a rising star in Dubai’s real estate scene.
The announcement, made recently in Dubai, signals a powerful convergence of sport, lifestyle, and international property investment. It underlines Dubai’s continued allure as a prime destination for global capital — particularly from UK-based buyers.
“Dubai has always felt like a second home to me — not just as a cricketer, but as someone who has seen this city offer opportunities, safety, and ambition. I’m proud to be associated with MH Developers at a time when Dubai is truly booming,” said Rashid Khan.
His endorsement comes amid unprecedented growth in Dubai’s real estate market. According to recent figures, average property prices rose by 15% year-on-year during H1 2025, with transaction volumes also up 20%. British nationals remain among the top five overseas investor groups, drawn by Dubai’s tax-free environment, political stability, and attractive returns.
MH Developers, which has gained recognition for its premium mid-range projects in Dubai’s key districts, is now targeting British investors, the South Asian diaspora, and second-home seekers through this high-profile collaboration. “Rashid represents resilience, global appeal, and trust — values we strive for as a company. As we scale our operations, especially toward overseas buyers, he will help tell our story with authenticity and reach,” stated CEO Murtaza Hashmi.
The move comes shortly after Reliance Industries — owners of the Mumbai Indians — announced a 49% acquisition of Oval Invincibles. Rashid, who previously played for Trent Rockets, has strong ties to the MI brand, having featured for MI New York in the US-based MLC and MI Cape Town in the SA20.
This partnership reflects the growing intersection between cricket and commerce. Dubai’s brand is increasingly shaped not only by luxury living but also by sporting prestige. Khan, consistently one of cricket’s most bankable talents, now bridges the two worlds. “I’m excited to call The Oval my home this August with Oval Invincibles. It’s a new chapter for me on the field — and with MH Developers, also off the field. There’s a lot to look forward to,” added Khan.
For British investors, the message is loud and clear: Dubai’s property surge isn’t simply a trend — it’s a transformation. And with familiar sporting icons like Rashid Khan backing it, the overlap between investment and influence is only set to grow.
