Age Concern Hampshire Offers Affordable Foot Care Clinics to Help Older Residents Overcome Rising Inflation and Maintain Mobility Wellness
Hampshire, UK – Age Concern Hampshire, a charity organization dedicated to providing services to the older community, has announced the launch of their regular and affordable Foot Care Clinics. With the continuing rise in inflation and the clear link between foot care health and mobility wellness, these clinics aim to help Hampshire residents over the age of 50 access essential foot care without adding strain to their household budgets.
The Foot Care Clinics provide a professional toenail cutting and foot health check service by fully qualified Foot Health Practitioners. Each practitioner has undergone a criminal records (DBS) check and is professionally trained to identify potential issues and provide necessary support. These clinics operate on a six-week basis, ensuring that residents’ foot health is regularly maintained and any issues are identified early on through the foot health checks.
According to research, nearly 30 percent of older people struggle to cover everyday expenses, including healthcare. Private chiropody appointments are often out of reach, making these clinics a crucial service for older people across Hampshire. By offering expert and affordable treatment from qualified foot health practitioners, Age Concern Hampshire aims to make essential foot care accessible to all.
Una Davey, Head of Commercial at Age Concern Hampshire, stated, “Our Foot Care Clinics provide a safe, professional, and affordable service for older people who might otherwise go without vital foot care. With the cost of living increasing, we are committed to making essential foot care as accessible as possible.”
In addition to maintaining mobility and preventing serious complications such as infections and falls, proper foot health also helps older people maintain their independence and overall well-being. Age Concern Hampshire currently offers 61 Foot Care Clinics every six weeks across 15 venues in the county.
