“GXCA Conducts Survey to Influence Upcoming Events and Activities”

Gerrards Cross Community Association (GXCA) is seeking input from local South Bucks residents as it plans for its future. The association has launched a survey to gather feedback on potential events and activities that community members would like to see hosted at the centre in the coming months.

The short survey, now available online, covers a range of possible events, including educational workshops, fitness classes, social gatherings, and family-friendly activities.

According to Marcia Bell, chair of trustees at GXCA, the community centre aims to cater to the needs of local residents. “We are looking for ideas from our community members, whether it’s for arts and crafts sessions, fitness options, or cultural events,” she said. “By directly gathering feedback from those who use or would use the centre, we can tailor our programming to reflect the diverse interests of our community. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to complete the survey and help us create a vibrant and inclusive space that truly meets the needs of all.”

Bell also highlighted the importance of promoting the centre to attract more residents and increase participation. “Gerrard’s Cross is fortunate to have such a facility, but for our long-term future, we need to attract more locals with a wider range of activities,” she said.

Under new management, GXCA has already launched a monthly Repair Café and revitalized its on-site café. The recent “Bingo & Bubble Night,” hosted by actor Robert Lindsay, attracted over 120 players. The association also plans to hold an Open Mic Night on June 20th.

The survey, available at “Have Your Say – Help Shape What Happens at Gerrards Cross Community Association (GXCA),” takes just a few minutes to complete. All responses will be reviewed to guide programming and event planning for the next 12 months. The results will also be shared with the community to demonstrate how their feedback is shaping the future of the centre.

Founded as a charity, GXCA is dedicated to promoting lifelong learning and community engagement. It offers a wide range of exercise and adult education courses, as well as cultural and social events throughout the year.
