Introducing the New PDLN President: Natascha Thomas

Berlin – The international PDLN network, which focuses on legally compliant marketing of media content, recently held its annual conference in Warsaw on Monday 2 June, 2025. During the conference, Natascha Thomas was elected as the new president, succeeding Javier Diaz da Olarte from CEDRO, Centro Español de Derechos Reprográficos. Thomas has been an active member of the network for the past two years as the Vice President. The newly elected Vice President is Carlos Eugénio from Visapress in Portugal.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to lead the PDLN, Thomas said, “I would like to thank Javier for his dedicated work as the head of the PDLN. I am committed to building on his efforts and further promoting our international cooperation. By sharing experiences and learning from each other, we can make the most of the opportunities offered by AI. This also applies to mitigating the risks associated with rapid technological development. The PDLN network, with its established structures, allows us to advance our common goal of protecting the interests of content producers and preventing abuse on a global scale.”

Thomas, who holds a degree in communications research, has been the Deputy Managing Director of PMG Presse-Monitor since 2020, where she is responsible for sales, marketing, and business development. She is passionate about driving forward the digitalization of processes and products. Under her leadership, the company recently launched the highly available PMG MediaHub portal, where over 900 publishers offer the content of more than 3,000 publications for legally compliant secondary utilization. This one-stop-shop has become a go-to for over 5,000 companies and organizations for their daily media monitoring and legally compliant press review creation.

Thomas has held various positions in digital consulting and research analysis before joining Axel Springer AG, where she was in charge of digital products. She has also served as a member of the executive board of AFP GmbH and its subsidiary, SID Sport-Informations-Dienst GmbH, where she was responsible for marketing and sales. Since 2020, Thomas has been the deputy managing director of PMG Presse-Monitor GmbH & Co. KG.
