“Two Decades of Community Creativity: A Celebration”

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Chilterns Neuro Centre’s annual Pop-Up Art Weekend is set to take place on the 1st and 2nd of March at the centre in Wendover. This highly anticipated event, in partnership with the Clare Foundation, has become a beloved tradition in the community, drawing in art enthusiasts, collectors, and supporters of the charity.

Featuring a diverse range of artwork, including paintings, photographs, ceramics, jewellery, and sculptures, the exhibition offers something for everyone and creates a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. Not only does it provide a platform for talented artists to showcase their work, but it also raises funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which offers treatments and services for people affected by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes.

Since its inception, the Pop-Up Art Weekend has raised an impressive £191,000 for the charity, with participating artists generously donating at least a third of their sales. This year, the centre’s Community Fundraising Manager, Hannah Prentice, expressed her pride in reaching this milestone and emphasized the event’s impact on the community.

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 20 years of this wonderful event,” said Prentice. “Not only does the exhibition shine a light on talented artists from our community and beyond, but it also demonstrates the power of art to bring people together and create positive change. We’re grateful for the continued support of our artists, visitors, and the Clare Foundation, and we’re looking forward to making this year’s event the best one yet.”

The free-to-attend exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 1st March and 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday 2nd March. In addition to the art, there will also be activities for children and a café serving refreshments. This year’s event promises to be the most memorable yet, with the added excitement of reaching the 20-year mark.

Art collectors, casual browsers, and anyone looking for an inspiring day out are encouraged to attend the Pop-Up Art Weekend. Not only will they have the opportunity to admire beautiful artwork, but they will also be making a meaningful impact on the community. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this milestone celebration.
