Reuben Brothers’ principal completes first stage of “ambitious redevelopment” of Mayfair estate

Last Updated on:

A leading firm in the world of private equity and real estate investment and development, Reuben Brothers has now completed the first phase of their company’s mixed-use regeneration project in the exclusive area of Mayfair, London.

As reported by Spears 500 in May 2024, the company undertook a £1 billion regeneration project after purchasing the 1.3-acre parcel of land in 2011. Referred to as an “ambitious redevelopment” by Spears in May 2024, the firm’s principal, Jamie Reuben, expressed his excitement for the upcoming development that’s being reworked as The Piccadilly Estate

He said: “We are excited to be launching the first phase of our long-term vision for the modernisation of the Piccadilly Estate and the wider Shepherd Market public realms. One Carrington is a fantastic new boutique luxury development, located in the heart of Mayfair.”

Just a matter of months later, the first stage of regenerating the contemporary collection of 28 apartments, which range from one to four-bed luxury residences, at One Carrington is now complete and they’re ready to move into.

Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM), the exterior of the building is covered in brick and stone exterior for a “modern Mayfair townhouse” appearance, while the interiors have been carefully curated by the award-winning designer, Natalia Miyar Atelier.

Benefiting from wrap-around views, 24-hour security and concierge, a lounge, library and secure underground parking, prospective residents can pay anywhere in the range of £2.95m to £12.95m to secure one of these apartments.

Within the same article, Spears also reported the firm to be working closely with fellow entrepreneur, Robin Birley, on the launch of the new Mayfair-based private members’ club, The Carrington.

Best known in the industry for being the visionary behind the exclusive member’s club 5 Hertford Street, Birely is building on his success in this popular London location with additional support from Reuben Brothers.

As explained by Reuben Brothers themselves, The Carrington will be a “business-focused private members’ club…delivered as part of the regeneration”.

Composed of drawing rooms, boardrooms and workspaces, dining options, and a sizeable wellness centre with a range of amenities (including a 25-metre pool, sauna, and treatment rooms), this exclusive club will offer an initial benefit to residents of One Carrington.

One Carrington residents will receive an “initial complimentary membership to the wellness facilities (subject to committee approval), and residents will be eligible to either extend this or apply for membership to the full suite of “world-class” amenities.”

Following in the footsteps of his billionaire investor father, David Reuben, Jamie has played a key role in the development of the 1.3-acre swathe of The Piccadilly Estate in Mayfair. Alongside the luxury apartment scheme, this project will also includea “revamp of Shepherd Market” andthe regeneration ofCambridge House, formerly home to the In and Out Club.

A press release published by Auberge Resorts Collection in July 2024 added that they’d been appointed to operate Cambridge House as a new luxury hotel. According to the multinational hospitality group, the hotel is scheduled to make its debut in late 2025.
