On Thursday 14th November 2024, Legacy Youth Zone Croydon announced an exciting new initiative aimed at empowering young people to explore careers in health and beauty, while also promoting personal wellbeing. This initiative is a result of a successful partnership with Nails By Mets.
Legacy Youth Zone is a dynamic space dedicated to supporting the growth, wellbeing, and development of young people. Through a variety of activities, such as creative arts, sports, and mental health and wellbeing programs, the Youth Zone helps young individuals unlock their potential and pursue their passions in a safe and supportive environment.
To further support this initiative, Legacy Youth Zone is seeking donations of nail kit supplies from the community, local businesses, and organizations. These supplies will equip young people with essential health and beauty skills and foster self-confidence.
The creation of a dedicated space for beauty and nail care will provide young people with hands-on experience in the beauty industry. This will offer valuable insights into career pathways, training in professional techniques, and promote self-care practices.
Donations of the following new or gently used nail care supplies are being requested:
– Nail polishes– Press-on nails– Aprons– Nail files– Top coat / Base coat– Cuticle oil– Lotions– Nail art brushes and dotting tools– Drying lamp/fan– Nail wipes/cotton pads– Hand wash and sanitizers– Any furniture (chairs, stools, nail lamps, trolleys)
These contributions will enable young people to gain foundational skills that could inspire them to pursue careers in health and beauty, while also enhancing their confidence and self-expression.
If you would like to support this initiative through donations or discuss partnership opportunities, please contact the fundraising team at fundraising@legacyyouthzone.org or call 020 3976 9990.
Legacy Youth Zone is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of health and beauty professionals and making a positive impact on young lives. Thank you for your support.
