Modern Mental Wellness Embraced by Japan’s Renowned Zen Master as He Teams Up with Pure Land Foundation to Promote Timeless Philosophies

Renowned Buddhist monk Osho Taigu has announced a collaboration with the Pure Land Foundation in London to promote the adoption of Buddhist-inspired teachings and principles into modern Western society. This partnership aims to address the current mental health crisis by advocating for spiritual and mental wellness.

Osho Taigu, the 31st Head Monk of the historic Fukugonji Buddhist Temple in Japan, gained recognition in 2014 for his efforts to improve mental and spiritual wellbeing in the Japanese corporate world. He has since become a global figure, sharing the wisdom of Buddhist teachings and their relevance to contemporary societal challenges.

The Pure Land Foundation, founded by philanthropist Bruno Wang in 2015, has been dedicated to supporting projects focused on spiritual, emotional, and mental wellness. In response to the current mental health crisis, the foundation has transformed itself into a digital-first advocacy organization. Through this collaboration, the Pure Land Foundation hopes to engage online audiences with Buddhist-inspired wisdom to support mental wellness.

Osho Taigu will work with the Pure Land Foundation to produce a series of videos for their YouTube channel, targeting Western audiences. These videos will cover a range of topics, including applying Buddhist wisdom to achieve business success, mindfulness, peace, happiness, lessons from nature, and managing stress, loss, and grief.

In addition, the Pure Land Foundation has commissioned a series of videos profiling diverse individuals in London seeking guidance in their lives. These videos will showcase their experiences before, during, and after a one-to-one session with Osho Taigu, highlighting the impact of Buddhist-inspired philosophies on their wellness and outlook.

Osho Taigu will also use this opportunity to present his two core methods, the Taigu Dojo and the Mandala of Management Dojo, which combine physical practice with Buddhist teachings. The inaugural London Taigu Dojo, not affiliated with the Pure Land Foundation, will take place on October 13, 2024.

Osho Taigu’s YouTube channel, “Osho Taigu’s Heart of Buddha,” has over 665,000 subscribers and offers guidance for “turning suffering into hope.” His videos have millions of views, making him a highly influential figure in spreading the teachings of Buddhism.
