Scottish amputee charity urges businesses to give back this holiday season.
Scotland – Every day, individuals in Scotland experience the loss of limbs due to illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, and sepsis. For those affected, the aftermath can be devastating, leading to feelings of isolation, loss of confidence, and the fear that life will never be the same.
Thankfully, there is a beacon of hope for these individuals in the form of the charity, Finding Your Feet. This Scottish organization provides support to those living with amputation or limb absence through various services, including counseling, fitness sessions, and social clubs that help rebuild confidence and community.
In the spirit of the holiday season, Finding Your Feet has launched its festive fundraising campaign, the ‘Nice List’, and is calling on businesses to join in and make a difference. The campaign offers 12 fun and easy ways for workplaces to give back while having a good time.
Events such as jumper days, bake-offs, quizzes, and desk-decorating competitions are just a few of the activities that companies can organize to raise funds for FYF. These events help keep the charity’s life-changing support going strong across Scotland.
Zoey, the Fundraising Manager at FYF, believes that this campaign is an opportunity for companies to find meaning in their Christmas celebrations. She says, “We know offices love a good jumper day or quiz, and we don’t want to stop that – we just want to make it count. The FYF Nice List gives workplaces everything they need to turn festive fun into real impact. One team day could fund a counseling session or help an amputee take their first swim lesson.”
Businesses can access The FYF Nice List and additional fundraising resources such as posters, templates, and toolkits at www.findingyourfeet.net/christmasgiving. They can also show their support through EasyFundraising, Alternative Gifting, or by nominating FYF as their Charity of the Year for 2026.
With the holiday shopping season approaching, FYF is asking one simple thing from companies – to get on the Nice List and help someone find their feet again.
Finding Your Feet relies on donations to continue providing vital emotional and physical support to amputees and their families across Scotland. To support their work, visit www.findingyourfeet.net/donate-now.
